Corsair SP2500 Buying, soundcard also needed?

Hello,

I will buy a Corsair SP2500 2.1 speakerset in the future.
I heard that speakerset is amazing.

But do i also need a decent soundcard for optimal sound quality?

I have a REX3 onboard sound now..

Not saying you should or should not buy it, but for the price you can find better.

Irregardless, if your speakers are of high quality, you should aptly pair it with a sound card or DAC of similar quality.

So in other words, yes, buy a sound card. Xonar DX to be specific. Unless you opt to go the better speaker route. If that's the case everything changes, but so does the price.

Like I said, not telling you NOT to buy it, but you CAN get better for your money. If you're glued to buying them, a Xonar DX is more than enough for you.

Well, at that price range, you've stepped into Swan M200MkII territory and Audioengine A5 territory.
