Lol. So my knowledge is limited based upon my sig-rig? I'll keep that in mind. While you're criticizing other people, you might take care to notice I'm running 2 460s, but yeah, that's still small beans in your neck of the woods right?

I shouldn't trust my mechanic because he drives a 90s model Ford Tempo, right?

My, my. OCN, we have ventured into the twilight zone.

Edit: Stealth, show us the CPU used in that review.

Wait for it, wait for it.. 990x at 4ghz. Ding ding ding. Don't forget that's AVERAGE not MINIMUM.

You know what.. just realized.. that's not even in a multiplayer game. That "benchmark" isn't even relevant to this conversation. Tom's always used the intro sequence for one of the missions for it's BFBC2 benchmark. Look at some other reviews, this one doesn't mention it, but they don't use actual gameplay, and certainly not multiplayer gameplay.

Here's the difference between real gameplay and their benchmark. Look at the single 580 results, 25 x 16. Compare it to this. http://www.hardocp.com/article/2010/..._1gb_sli_done/ Tom's says 54fps, H says 41fps.

Looking at Geforce.com without the vSync I should be getting that 87FPS.

http://uk.geforce.com/optimise/optim...ce-gtx-590-ops

I'm happy as long as it's over 60FPS! I was just wondering why this DX11 Game didn't use masses of power from the GPU. So it's the CPU that's Bottlenecking it.

.........

Who cares if it's a 990x? i7 920 will do the same job as long as it's overclock @ 4.2

I never drop under 80 FPS in MP and thats on this stupid 5970, 590 is way better, the guy should be getting way more FPS (just make sure you get that CPU at 4.2 or just swap the whole CPU) makes me wanna puke when someone buys a card such as 590 and then you see their CPU's.. just /facepalm

It actually says "87 fps" so 97 should seem like a bit of a plus in your favor.

And like you said, a minimum of 60 is what's important.

Lune, clearly this thread is too distasteful for someone of your refined tastes.

What Cooling would you recommend for 4.2GHZ? Water I'm guessing?

That's with just one 460.
What kind of FPS increase should one realistically expect from oc'ing a cpu or buying a cpu already performing at +4Ghz?

I'm running stock clocks (on my cpu) and clocked 460's and I get a minimum of 96 fps and max 141 fps. (really depends on the map to be honest, as the lowest I've seen is 84 fps)

You guys are confusing the hell out of me, that's for sure. At any rate, the logical assumption with out having to look at benchmarking sites is that his 590 with his stock cpu clocks should out perform my 460's with stock cpu clocks or is this false?
