He said AMD wouldn't support AM3+ in an AM3 socket, and I don't think that stance has changed. This is MSI (and Asus apparently) and if they're already been putting AM3+ sockets on their boards(or are willing to support the old ones) .. it's out of AMDs hands.
What did the do to upset the boss?

You all act like so many people overclock a lot of people don't so all will most likely be fine. Have you ever seen a MSI 890fx or 790fx blow up with just a normal even 140W cpu on here no Its when people push 1.5 to 1.55 volts. I took my MSI 790fx heat sinks off made sure they where making contact well and have been running 1.56 volts in the bios for ever a year now. I don't no I'm not a brand guy but people fail to understand they only have to make the boards at the most take 140W overclocking is at your own risk if you lie to them or not when it blows up thats on you.
4+1 blowing up at 1.55 volts? Good luck with that. They tend to die at the 1.4 volt mark without heatsinks on the X6 chips.

Me too.
Though I don't think Gigabyte is going along with the "AM3+ support!" until AMD can confirm that BD fits into certain AM3 mobos.

I'm not worried about it.... I'm waiting for Biostar's Bulldozer boards anyway....

If I'm going to go out and buy a CPU with a new architecture, I would sure want the new series board to go with it as well....

Well they shouldn't be surprised if many people have abandoned AMD as a future upgrade option because of the way AMD is handling this. The problem is NOT the compatibility it's the constant FUD that they have taken no steps to get rid of.

So switch to Intel so you can be sure your current board won't be supported with the next generation.

That's not what I meant and you know it.
