Compression fittings: Rotary?

For my 7/16x5/8 fittings it's down to $13 rotary or $9 non-rotary.

How much pain do rotary fittings prevent?

Rotary is kind of pointless for straight fittings. They're really only useful for angled's; save yourself some money.

rotary for straight fittings are just helpful if the tubing decides to rotate while u just try to plug in the other end into another fitting.

I think I can avoid that by being extra careful, and if that can save me $40 I am so there.

If you guys aren't going to support the economy, how is it ever going to recover?

On a side note, I just moved from Kentwood, due to the economy, and had to sell my house and find a job, ended up in Iowa. Where are you in GR?

jcrouse: 60th and Eastern, commute an hour to Lansing though. I've been at my current job for 5 years and before that is was random IT contracts. It still sucks, but not quite as bad.

analysts: That's kinda what I was thinking. thanks!

Straight rotary fittings can also be nice for use in areas that don't have enough clearance around the threaded port to allow for fat compression fittings. For example, backplates often interfere with the area around a GPU's connectors.
