Of course, current consoles couldn't even properly play battlefield 2. No doubt this game will be in some way hindered. We go through the same process every time a game is announced on PC and console. We have our hopes up saying that the PC version is going to be so much better, but in reality, the PC version is just a port.

I choose to be one of the sheep though and be optimistic. Otherwise I just live a very negative existence. lol

I hope the beta will last longer than a week, I bought a %$#@ty crap game just for the beta.

I hope it include quite a few maps and guns so we can not think about buying COD.
I was totally on BFBC2 but I got baited by a few friends to go on COD.
Now I want to be addicted to a beta for as long as possible.
I don't want to go back to COD. Activision is the worse company ever.

Even if they don't rush it, many games require an early patch. The reason is two fold.

First, games are extremely complex. A testing team would need months to mostly test a game. Even then, there is no easy/cheap way to test a game near the scale of production. (i.e. Running with a few hundred players vs ten thousand players.) A friend of mine does infrastructure for online Flash-based games. He can simulate a few thousand users but workload is not the same when it goes live.

Furthermore, games go gold 1-2 months before release. Basically, the release code is locked down for printing. During this time, testers have more time to do their work. However, developers cannot change the code even if additional bugs are found.
Once again...

Every DICE release has been buggy at launch, ever battlefield game has been glitchy and buggy at launch.

If you are even thinking that this one will be different, or the reason its buggy is because its a crappy "console" port. Well, you are just plain stupid.

Expect this game to be awesome, just like every other battlefield release, and the bugs will be squished slowly.

I will take my week vacation when this game hits retail. What a better time to use my vacation for building a new rig and barricading myself in the room to play BF3 undisturbed.
