Really Dumb XFire Question, New Problem...

ok, i am a complete noob and have no idea how to do crossfire, the second card just got here. now do i just slap it in and it will install drivers and such automatically or is there something i need to download before i put it in.

Just slap it in, Go into CCC, find the crossfire option, enable it. Apply. Enjoy

When I added my second 5850 ATI's software recognized the card immediately upon boot-up and automatically configured it for Crossfire. Others have reported it being that simple as well.

Others prefer to manually remove and reinstall drivers.

Yeah when i had my 5850's, it saw the other card but i did a fresh install on drivers to be safe

You also need the crossfire bridge (comes with the card).

you may see a huge bottleneck in that Athlon IIx3.... not 100% certain tho.

not really, my board is only got a x16 and an x4 slot. on a side note though, how do you get it do display two gpu temps with MSI afterburner?

EDIT, ok i figured it out and for some odd reason it rolled my drivers back to driver 7, lol downloading the new ones now
