the 45 one on newegg says sli..the 43 says nothing yet it has sli and crossfire x on the pcb...yet the 43 on msis website says crossfire only, im thinking of getting this if sli o.O

Im not 100% positive on this, so dont make the purchasing descion on what i am about to say...

I dont think a mobo controls whether it is sli or crossfire. nvidia is sli and ati/amd is crossfire. it just depends on the bridge that you use. you cant use a crossfire bridge to link 2 hd 6990's you know? but the gpu that you have selected is sli and that board should come with sli bridges.

hmm.. msi itself said its sli..but i also confused a bunch of tier 1/tier 2 tech support on it so i dont know yet...

I had a g45 briefly, although it said 'true pci-e 2.0 sli & crossfire' right on the pcb it definitely did not support sli.
Maybe with future bios updates or something, but 2 weeks ago, no sli.

It should support both, but you can always use the software hack and run SLI on it if it's crossfire only.

well the link i posted is from msi's site so if that isn't true someone at msi isn't doing there job newegg can screw up, part manufacture screws up it looks bad on them.
