Too bad we don't have basements here in PR.

Going from 1080 to 1200 vertical resolution will mean some more lines of resolution; nothing dramatic. The fact that the U2311H can be rotated completely negates that argument, however. If you want higher horizontal resolution, you can have it. As far as it being a "better panel", read this review, which has a comparison of both, and tell me again that the U2410 is clearly better. It's not. The U2311H is better in some things; the U2410 in others.

No point in getting the U2410, really.

Yeah, no point except to have an 8bit panel vs the 2311H's 6bit panel...

I dunno, all my monitors are 16:10 and I honestly couldn't care less about the bars.

As far as panel quality goes, they're essentially equal: the U2410 wins in some areas; the U2311H wins in others.

Read a review/comparison between both before you pass judgement.

I think the U2311H is great.

The only reason I would need to upgrade monitor would be for more realestate, and there IMHO, is no point in 24".

U2711.

I could never justify the price difference from 23-24.

I think its easier to justify from 24-27 though.

That's interesting. I know nothing about MVA panels. I'll have to do some digging.

Yeah, cos i'm gonna trust a website that lies about the U2311 being 8bit when its only 6bit...doesn't exactly bode well straight from the start.

Same panel as the BenQ EW2420 VW2320 and the BL2400PT/PU
review for the EW2420 at tftcentral http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/benq_ew2420.htm

and quite a few peoples comments on their purchases strewn through this topic http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sho...php?t=18200742 along with PCM2s review at http://www.pcmonitors.org/monitor-reviews/benq-ew2420

I should be having a BL2400PT arriving anyday now, if you haven't made a decision before then i'll post my first impressions for you

I'm pretty set on the U2311H but I'm still interested to see what you have to say.
