Vertex 2 install question

Thread Starter
Just got my new rig built, everything posts fine, ready to install Windows....at least I think so.

Is there anything I need to do to the Vertex 2 prior to installing? Its only a 60 gig so I plan on setting it up as recomended in the sticky at the top of the forum. Just wondering if there is anything I need to do prior to firing up the Windows 7 install disk.

Sorry. First SSD. I'm excited, yet apprehensive all at the same time

Just check in the bios, I can't check right no I'm at school but you'll see it should be set to either IDE or SATA or if it's a recent board probably already in AHCI.

You suposed to see this : Onboard SATA/IDE Control Mode in the options from your bios somewhere.
You have the choice between Sata-IDE-AHCI

No problem
If you really want to see the SSD speed, you should try to install Windows 7 from a usb key.

It takes about 7 minutes to fully install windows
