Watercooling/Overclocking a PS3 Slim (250gb)

Thread Starter
So I was looking at a couple of old threads on the subject and didn't feel like necroing them so i created my own thread.

For watercooling, the only thing I've found so far is this:

http://www.aquatuning.us/product_inf...aterblock.html

Problem is that I'm not sure if it's compatible with a slim PS3.

As for overclocking, I've heared people doing some stuff with linux, but as of the latest firmware update, you can't install linux on a PS3 anymore.

I'm looking for help/suggestions regarding this problem. I understand there is no need to overclock or watercool a PS3, I just want to do it as a hobby and see if I can mod this thing.

Any help is appreciated. Peace.

You'd likely have to go the route of some universal blocks...I've looked into doing this a couple months ago due to excessive GT5 playing and the fact that everything around my PS3 was rather warm. The best thing I've found is to put some 'feet' on the bottom (those sticky, adhesive ones) to elevate it a little and allow air to flow under it. I've also used a little, tiny desk fan and blown it across the rear of the PS3; kind of diagonally 'in/across' the rear. It seems counter productive, but it actually makes it very, very cool. (you'd think it blows hot air back in, but it really doesn't).

But, watercooling it is ultimately my goal...at some point.

Edit: Yep...that's me.
