Asus Sabertooth P67 and Heatsinks

Hey guys,

My Sabertooth P67 just arrived and I'm building my new PC but there is something that I'm worried about. When you look at the attached picture below, does the green piece (part of the heatsink) that says #1 move on your Sabertooth P67 when you rock it side to side? Because mine is not stable and moves when I rock it. The green piece that says #2 is very stable and doesn't move at all. That's why I'm concerned if my motherboard is defective. Please someone who has a working Sabertooth P67, let me know as soon as you can as I want to fire it up by tonight.

And does anyone know what the arrows on those green heatsinks are for?

Thanks!

I thought the same thing too. I always wondered why there are arrows there. I think it's for people who wanted to mod it? Dunno. Hope we can get some answers here. I would like to know. DON'T push it though. It serves another purpose.

Does your move though when you rock it and more importantly does your motherboard work well?

They might just be apart of the design scheme. not that there are arrows anywhere else.

Also why did you remove the thermal armor?

I woudn't try. Where are your specs mrwalker? How in the world are you having so much rep and yet no system specs?

In case I need to access the CMOS battery. I don't want to remove my whole motherboard in order to that if I have to.

I don't mean push it hard. Can you just lightly touch yours and see if it moves at all?

And the specs, I will get to that once my build is up and running.

Sorry no i won't do that.

Why not? It won't harm your motherboard. I just want to know if movement is normal. It probably is part of the design, I just want to make sure before I fire it up.

No i won't. I ain't gonna risk it. Just leave it alone. It's probably for people who wanna take it off and do some modding. Check the manual if you have to or even forums based on this motherboard. Think before you act.
