PSU for a 2500k build

Thread Starter
Right now i'm looking at purchasing an NZXT Hale90-750W ($139.99) for my new build:

OS: Windows 7 home 64-bit
Case: NZXT Phantom PHAN-001WT White
Mobo: MSI P67A-GD65 (B3)
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz
Cooling: COOLER MASTER V6 GT
GPU: EVGA 01G-P3-1561-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti
Memory: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black WD5002AALX 500GB
Drive: ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner
Monitor: AOC e2343F Black & White 23" 5ms LED BackLight LCD

I also plan on adding a SSD and another 560ti later in the year so the PSU needs to be able to power that too.
the Hale90 was my first choice (good reviews and matches case) but I was also looking at:
XFX Black Edition P1-750B-CAG9 750W ($129.99)
or for more power
XFX Black Edition XPS-850W ($149.99)

Great unit here for great price. On the recommended list and has room for future improvements (at a significantly less price than the one in your OP).

If you want an XFX to match your case and look, grab a XXX Black Edition, any of them.

that antec would be nice as would a Corsair TX750 v2, also inexpensive, but i just cant do a non-modular PSU. Had one, didn't really like it.

Since you're getting the white NZXT Phantom, you should get the NZXT Hale90 650W. It's a great PSU, it'll be perfect for your system even if you add a 2nd GTX 560. There is no need for more wattage.

wow ok so a 650w is enough... always thought i would need more, man you just saved me like $40 and i really am a sucker for color coordination so the Hale90 is an easy sell. Hmm now what can i buy with that savings?

650 w is just enuff, but if u want to oc anything, i suggest 750 watts, better have some headroom than overload your psu.
