Im not saying they do. But, if you are going to drop 3k on monitors alone, I would assume that you would want to drive them accordingly.

Ok I have a question: say I had a 30" in landscape (2560x1600), and several 2007FP's in portrait on the side (1200x1600). Would I be able to use eyefinity/surround with a setup like that? Or do they all have to be the same resolution+orientation?

With ATI: Same resolution and refresh rate are a must

With nVidia: Above + same sync polarity. High risk of two different monitors of the same resolution and refresh rate not working. Must be identical monitors to ensure no risk of the thing not working.

TL;DR: You can't

The only way to make PLP work in majority of games it to use SoftTH, but then you are relegated to the DX9 rendering path, unless something has changed recently.

What about one CRT + two LCDs? Would that work as 1xVGA + 2xDVI, or would I have to connect them all through VGA?

50% is correct. It was Softh, since that is the only way that you would be able to do it. Well, take that back, you could also use a triplehead2go in order to accomplish the same task.

+ worse compatability with games + worse performance.

But not by too much tho.

But it's just a big hassle.

There's also the one in two hundred games that can be stretched to multiple monitors without EF / surround methods. One example is JC2
