I can't, I don't actually have my rig anymore lol.
You can't create an eyefinity group from monitors connected to more than one card. Extended is fine on them tho.

Well what I was thinking is that I'm going to end up using these things for general use and work too, right? With how rare these CRTs are, and how much rarer they get every year, if I used three at once even outside of games I'd be using up their lifespan for no reason whatsoever. By the time one of them dies it would be nearly impossible to replace. But if I stick to the two CRTs I already have and just use one at a time, I can get away with using them for a good 10-20 years.

And since the side monitors stay mostly in the peripheral vision, it's not like you NEED them as accurate as the center screen.

I figured it would be a good compromise

I don't know how accurate the colors on the FW900s are. I have no idea if that next to an IPS panel would look too good compared to the IPS or if it would look fine. You can make that decision yourself. If it would work for you, great

What about nvidia?

Cuz I can already tell you that ATI doesn't play nice with FW900's, it's the whole reason I switched from 2x 5870's to 2x 480's.

Agreed. You can't beat a good CRT for color accuracy and response time. They wipe the floor with high end LCD's. There is a big reason why some photographers use CRT's still.

It's like splitting hairs.

Three LCD's or CRT's and you're done. No need to worry about having to replace one years down the road. Things change, maybe you'd like something else five years from now.

Here's my friend's setup.

I never cared much for the whole CRT worshiping thing. I viewed an FW900, which was pretty good but they have their own "issues". Besides the obvious huge size and weight and looking ancient, you deal with a somewhat curved glass image that is reflective, fuzzy text, geometry issues, EMI issues, and having to run them at super high Hz to minimize eye-strain. Zero input lag is pretty sweet though.

Tech companies need to get off their asses and get moving on OLED. It solves virtually every problem with other display types besides longevity and price. (I know those are big issues).

And whats with the monitors up by the ceiling in the pic above? Does he need them for stock tickers or something?

The "F" in FW900 stands for "flat". If you saw a curved image it wasn't one of them, that's for sure. They also require calibration, so if you saw fuzzy text and bad geometry then someone didn't do that. It it was a heavily used unit it's also likely that it has aged badly, which would explain the focus problem.
