Looking for a very sad/dark game

I'm in one of those moods. Looking for a game with deep characters and harsh, cruel world. Preferably one with enough impact to make someone cry. I can't think of any games matching the description, so I'm reaching out to you guys.

Heh, maybe I should just go read a novel instead. Might pick up The Count of Monte Cristo.

The only game I've played remotely close to this description is Heavy Rain, but that's for PS3.

Anywho, I'm curious about this as well. I'm getting kinda tired of the CoD rehash where it's "run and gun and be an overall badass".

Um, wow.

Buying the full version of The Graveyard adds only one feature, the possibility of death. The full version of the game is exactly the same as the trial, except, every time you play she may die.

I had to check the release date just to make sure I wasn't being screwed with.

Yeah I've heard good things about Heavy Rain; I might ask one of my friends if I can borrow their PS3 for a weekend just to play that sometime.

Ooh, excellent find. I think I'll buy the "Tale of Tales" pack (Graveyard/The Path/Fatale), +1.

It's very difficult to convey well, devs have a lot of problem with noir themes in general. I want heavy rain as well, but it's not the kind you own and play again so it's not really worth it to me.

I may have something for you, but I'm not sure if it's your type of game.
Even if isn't, maybe it's still worth trying, after all, it is free.

It's actually a series of 4 games... They're called the Chzo Mythos series. If you don't mind me being lazy, I'll post the thread I created a few months back. You have everything about the game described there, and how it works...

They have a pretty "heavy" atmosphere in my opinion... But that's just me, you could have a different opinion of course. Anyways,
here is the link.

There' isn't enough movies that capture the emotion I get from some music either...

I guess thats why I like some of the 'post-apocalyptic' games and movies, because minus

world war/plagues/nuclear meltdowns/zombies/terminators/aliens/what else?...my isolationist life isn't that much different

But at least in those cases I could go out and scavenge the supermarket, liquor store, dope dealers, corner stores....computer stores, CAR DEALERSHIPS...AIRPORT...ARMY BASE...
