K cool! Now use the .PNG format. The .PNG format retains the image quality of the original screenshot without resulting in the huge file size of 24-bit BMPs. So, they're much nicer looking than JPGs without having a much bigger file size. This translates into a fast-loading super-sharp screenshot.

SSD is definitely the way to go these days and they are becoming cheap as chips. I have my SSD as my boot drive and storing application that I have noticed take a long time to load on a mechanical HDD. All other backup stuff is on the mechanical drives.

I'll explain it again: the purpose of the Appraisals forum here on OCN is to find out how much your thing is worth. Once you decide on an amount, then you can either turn around and sell it here, or you can go sell it somewhere else. Making an Appraisal thread does not mean that you'll be selling that item here on OCN. It just means that you want to know how much your item is worth. Where you sell it is your business.

So, Overclock.net requires 35 Reps in order to minimize the chances of thishappening (pretending that there's no minimum Rep requirement):
  1. Guy has an item to sell, but he doesn't know how much it's worth
  2. Guy hears that Overclock.net is awesome
  3. Guy makes an Overclock.net account for the sole purpose of making an Appraisal thread and then never coming back once he finds out what his item is worth
  4. Guy tells his friends that Overclock.net is a great place to go just to get an Appraisal
  5. Soon OCN has a rash of idiots making OCN accounts just to get an Apprasial and to do absolutely nothing else on here
  6. OCN staff take action and create a 35 Rep minimum requirement to post any threads in the Apprasial forum
  7. Problem solved (or at least the chances of it happening again are minimized)

The same thing applies to both the For Sale forum and the Wanted forums. OCN does NOT want people coming here for the sole purpose of doing nothing but using OCN to get an appraisal, to sell, or to make Wanted ads! OCN is not a marketplace! Instead, only a small part of OCN is a marketplace!

Fortunately, there is no minimum rep requirement to simply buy something from someone. I mean, there's no minimum rep requirement to see an item for sale and then try to buy it. So you can certainly browse the For Sale items and then try to buy things you want to buy! Although, you can't make any Wanted threads or Appraisal threads because you don't have 35 Rep points yet! Fortunately, there are websites out there that are nothing but a marketplace.

You don't really have to know anything about computers to get Reps around here. I've received hundreds of Reps from helping people with things that have absolutely nothing to do with computers whatsoever.

OCN seems to call that little section down near the bottom the "Marketplace". However, that's just a very tiny part of OCN.

I mean, they are trying to minimize the chances of someone making an account to nothing but use the marketplace.

OCN wants new members to participate in the rest of the community, so therefore there is a 35 Rep minimum for those forums. If there was not a 35 Rep minimum, then people would be able to make an account and only use it twice, and ONLY twice: once to make their thread, and then again to say "thank you".

I don't know how to be any clearer! It's kinda like how some bars or restaurants have a 2-drink minimum, or kinda like how some places have a cover charge.

So no: it is not a comparison between apples and oranges!
You are comparing selling to buying and those are not the same. Why would someone post up they are wanting to buy a few items from board members and then leave? I would think you would stick around to see what people have that you may want, buy some things, etc. Again yes the sales and appraisals i can see as a one and done.
Appraisals is either a part of selling or buying, and you are putting it with selling which is understandable.
You are also putting wanted with selling and they are not one of the same. You would be posting a wanted ad BUYING items not selling them. Am I missing what the wanted section is about? The only people you are hurting are the current members that would be selling items to that person.

Damn, I don't know what you're doing. You're opening "Main.html", and then Windows XP attempts to use Google Chrome to open it. That tells me that your default browser is Google Chrome in your installation of Windows XP.

Anyway, download this: http://iij.dl.sourceforge.jp/crystal...Mark3_0_1a.zip

Again, OCN is trying to minimize the chances of having unscrupulous people make an OCN account for the sole purpose of using the marketplace just to either get an appraisal for their item, to sell it, or to simply make a wanted ad - only to leave and never come back when they are done.

There are millions of people in the world who would love to use OCN like this; they're called "freeloaders". OCN is not a marketplace. OCN does not like freeloaders.

I clicked on your link, it downloaded and opened winzip. I then clicked on the setup.exe file. The window came up asking me if I want to run it and I clicked run. Then nothing. Window goes away and nothing opens, no other screens continue the setup process, no icons on desktop to start app. Nothing

Extract the contents of the .zip archive to a location of your choosing (the archive's name is CrystalDiskMark3_0_1a.zip). After the contents of this archive are extracted to any folder of your choice , run "DiskMark.exe" from that location you chose.
