Alternatives to GT-15?

Thread Starter
What are some comparable alternatives to GT-15s? I'm thinking primarily in terms of static pressure.. looking to have push/pull on an RX360 rad. I'd get the GT-15s if they were in stock anywhere at a price that isn't absurdly inflated.

I've heard some people mention either the Akasa Viper or Apache. Anybody have any experience with either of those?

Nidec GT-15:

1850 rpm
58 cfm
26 dB
20 Pa (2mm H2O) static pressure

San Ace Silent series 9S1212M4011/9S1212P4M011:

1850 rpm
58.6 cfm
24 dB
22.7 Pa (2.3mm H2O) static pressure

I only mention the latter because I had the opportunity to buy eight of these pretty cheaply (for San Ace), and I'm going to sell three soon and probably another two later. They are PWM fans and I'm putting plugs and sleeves on them. The first four have come out very nicely.

Those Akasas are essentially Blademaster 120s, I think. Not sure I'd call them comparable to the GTs. Noiseblocker fans are great, but in the same price range if not higher.

I have an Akasa Apache. Quiet, but not in the same league as the GT's. I'd go with an AP-13 or AP-14 instead.

What the Vipers and Apaches have is PWM. Over at Vortez.net (see this review) they use the Coolink SWiF2-120P (PWM) as a standard fan. They get great results with it. At $9.99 it is reasonable. I have one, but I haven't done comparison testing with it yet. But it's a definite possibility.

Thanks guys. I'll definitely look into the Coolink. I'm looking for a fairly quiet setup, but I'd rather have something with similar or greater performance relative to a GT-15, even if it is slightly louder.
