Thanks. This has been what I was thinking for a long time. Everyone is comparing the voltage/power requirements to the Phenom, and not taking into consideration that its a 32nm process.

I have a feeling that the voltage strain on the 8 core 125w TDP will be the same as current x4's OC'd or x6's with a mild OC.

We need to quit thinking about the VRM issues we are having now and using them as a basis for Bulldozer VRM issues, when we don't really know much else about the chip except that its 32nm and the high end 8 cores will have a 125w TDP.

Let's start focusing on the real issue: Will ASUS release a Sabertooth/TUF series board for AMD?

And more specifically, will they ever release a mATX ROG board for AMD?

I honestly think that the 2 best motherboards for Bulldozer will be the ASUS Crosshair 4 series.

They have the best power delivery circuits of any AMD motherboard available and I can see there 10 high quality phases beating most if not all 990FX motherboards for a while, Well until vendors get some high end 990FX parts designed and created.

i dunno i dont trust it.. dont want a fried proc

however im sure basic overclocks and underclocks will be fine.

this IS overclock.net

We love HIGH end overclockers

Mid lvl and Simple Overclockers (plenty of simple people ho ho ho ;p

Some prefer to ovlerclock, with lowest voltages obtaining perfect balance with nature.

man i wanna run a quad core off a potato know what im sayin??

I love how everyone is a VRM guru now.

Number of phases, mofsets or VRM's won't matter as long as they are of GOOD QUALITY and able to handle the maximum load of the highest-end CPU and have plenty of headroom.

Crap, why applaud people? they should give it more power phase, especially if people are gonna overclock with a 8 core CPU with a 8+2 phase. It just won't cut it
