BTW i'm having some weird issues with my SSD-mobo combo so i guess i'm done with tweaking stuff on my side...

No that WILL definitly slow things up im 100 percent certain.

What issues are you having?

Sometimes when i restart or shutdown (I think its when i change something on windows, or update) then the SSD isnt recognised and i cant boot. I have to fully power down the system, then go into BIOS and change Hard drive priority and make SSD go first, cause it shows after the 4 HDD data drives...

It's really a weird error. I dont know if its hardware related, like mobo messes up, or software related, some instruction not getting carried out properly or AHCI confusing stuff...

Did you only have the SSD attached to mobo when you installed windows on it?

You had the 1st gen as single and raid on the other 2 with same gen? Or all of them on raid?

Yes, if you don,t only have the ssd attached boot files and other set up files can go to other drives causing boot problems...

Ive just recalled I had similar things with the Vertex3 last week having win7 on my barracuda as well. It would sometimes boot to that and not the ssd even though that was set as first boot and the barracuda disabled, im so glad I got shot of the Vertex3.
