Thread Starter
My RAM runs by default at 1333 mhz and 1.5v so i'll be on the safe side. Not interested in OC either. Just canceled my order for new ram.

there is a chip running at 1.6v 24/7 on xtremesystem and it is working fine with no degradation...

I find those guidliness to be extremely conservative. but your right... i don't plan on using this for more than 2 years

As soon as ivy bridge comes out...

edit: I just recall some reviews for the ram on Sandy bridge systems and most memories clocked over 1600mhz yields little to no better performance even in benchmarks.
I've been playing around with the memory on my sandy bridge rig, & while different applications/games can run better with different memory settings, I haven't found any benchies yet that do better with 1600Mhz memory than 1866 or 2133.

The only thing I have seen on OCN is a member took a kit of ripjaws X 1.5v 1333 and pushed it 1866
