Secondly, seta r_multithreaded_device "1" - This will create a D3D device with the multithreaded flag. According to the developers, this is mainly a debugging option and doesn't enhance performance.

Yea it seems like it didn't matter which setting I put those at. But I can finally fraps stuff now.

wow is that amount of abuse and rage really necessary? I am no programmer but, anecdotally for me playing with those settings fixed me from having horrible fps drops to having a smooth running 100+fps and it fixed it for many other people too. If those settings have no effect then riddle me why changing them fixed the game for both myself and one of my house mates?

I can only speak from my personal experience changing these settings for me had a significant effect. Admittedly this was back during the you payed £50 and all you got was this stupid beta stage it is possible the support has improved considerably since then.

it runs ok with my sig rig but it should be maxed, it might be because its a poorly optimized console port?

I'm sorry. I just don't like it when people post wrong information as it is degrading the internet. My apologies I was too harsh.

You have a 6000 series AMD card. Try using 11.4 preview drivers. Supposedly 39% increase in performance in Black Ops.

As someone had suggested earlier, AA doesn't really make a difference in the graphics at 1920x1080 for Black Ops. So I turned it to 0 and left everything else maxed. And he's right it looks the same and it runs WAY faster now. I put a comment about it earlier in the thread about it working.

They corrected those settings in a more recent patch, so it doesn't matter what you have it at now.

Not sure if this helps but I have a 570 with the latest 270 beta drivers installed and I get a constant 60 fps with everything maxed and vsyc on.

I run it maxed out as well. IIRC it ran fine maxed out with my GTX 460 too. The game is very processor dependent. My P7805u can runs just as choppy at native res and normal graphics settings as it does with lowered resolution and low graphics. My laptop also has a T9900 and without that upgrade it was unplayable online.

Yea I would have thought it was a processor issue, but mine laughs at this game.
