[Resolved] Bought a steam game, any way to get a refund?

Bought IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover about an hour ago because it looked really awesome, but Its awfully buggy, the control settings are waaay to complicated for me and for some reason the game runs at 22 fps...
no suprise here, seeing as its a ubisoft game.

How do I go forth and claim a refund from Steam?

Issue resolved, got a onetime refund into my steam wallet. see post # 52

The official policy is no refunds after buying. The only way to do it is through Steam Customer service. They'll only do it once for you as a courtesy.

If you paid via Paypal, DO NOT file a claim with them. Steam will terminate your account.

Most of the time you can't get a refund, so hope for the best, expect the worst.

Ignorant troll

OT/ I have never heard of a refund on steam, as the troll I quoted informed you in a way that was helpful, however, going against the troll, you wouldn't really get a refund from any store if you opened the game box

Good luck though, if you don't ask, you don't get

Other places can't disable the rest of your games if you do a chargeback

I bought IL-2 Sturmovik:Cliffs of Dover, about an hour ago. The game is awfully bugged in the Menu's, the sound is cracking all the time (and I even have a sound card) and its very annoying, the game runs very bad (22 fps with 2 GTX 580's in SLI) .

This game is not worth the money I paid for it, and I would very much apreciate a refund for this game, thank you
That was what I wrote to them in a support ticket, trying to be polite and calm about it.

How long does it usually take to get an answer on these sorts of things? do I need to wait untill monday?

Chances are they'll only refund on pre-orders, other than that, you gotta fight with them.
