Try asking for an exchange? Tell them you were experiencing stability issues (game caused)

Thats not fully true for me anyway, I purchased Need for Speed Shift a about 6 months ago steam version didn't work at all in my sig rig. I mean the game wouldn't even start without crashing Steam told me "tough crap, we can't help you contact EA."

So I contacted EA they ended up giving me their version of Shift and that ended up working and they also give me a $20 dollar online store credit.

Have box copy, have to download updates. Still not able to return if opened...and best of all, you have to pay taxes.

It's still a mystery to me why anyone would want to actually buy a boxed copy and have all the extra hassles included with it and have to pay more.

I just join steam because they had a great deal on F1 2010 for 20 bucks about a week ago. I can't even play the game nothing but problems, looks like alot of people who running a 6 core processor with this game is having all types of problems. So is there anything a can do?

Check Norway's distance selling laws.

Here in the UK, they cannot refuse a refund before 14 days. CSR's might try to tell you you're not entitled, but I've had several "courtesy" refunds over the years because they have no rights to refuse a refund. It's a statutory right here.

Tell them you expect a product to work, and it doesn't.

Tell them what's wrong and your rig.

Be polite and official.

Don't file a chargeback if you want to keep your account.
