Im in the market for a mechanical keyboard.... and im torn between brands and switch type's... what i would like in it is to be:.

Similar force to a rubber dome

Tenkeyless.

and Cherry MX brown or blue? i dont like keys that can easily be pressed..

i want to have a similar actuation and force of a rubber dome.. but in a mech form...

the boards im thinking of are the blackwidow and Daskeyboard Pro model s silent.

Both of those switches are lighter than your average rubber dome.

You could get an all-55g Topre, but they're quite expensive.

Well, for starters both the DAS and the BW are not tenkeyless. As far as switches go, browns would be something you would be interested in because they fit what you want (not easily pressed) and are generally a good switch to type and game on. Blues are the choice for typing and rts games from what I have heard so if you play a lot of fps games and type alot, browns would suit you the best. I would not recommend blacks because they are just too stiff to type on. Also check out Filco Majestouch Cherry MX brown switch tenkeyless and the Leopold brown tenkeyless for starters

Edit: Might want to also check out our very own OCN Ducky keyboards, although they are not tenkeyless, they are a really good deal!

Rubber domes are about 55-60g. Tbh, the Blues are probably not that much lighter, but browns definitely are. I'd get a Leopold if you want a Tenkeyless.
