RS360 and a w/b for a 460

Thread Starter
Hello and thank you for looking at my post. I am new to watercooling and my plan is to start with a basic setup and later add watercooling to my 460s.I am currently debating to buy a RS360 kit or the RX360 kit. My question is the what difference in temp will I see from using a RX over a RS? Also I once saw a waterblock for the reference 460s that was about $65. I have been searching but I can not find it so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks for the help guys!

i would suggest the RX for sli 460s and your cpu. Not sure what the temp difference would be though.

EDIT: you are probably thinking of this http://www.tilatech.com/products/EK-...ter-Block.html
too bad its sold out =/

I would get a RX NOT RS. The RX will give you better performance, but be aware that the RX is 58.5mm or something like that. So you have to have room. I don't know what the exact temperature difference would be, but the RX is what you would really want if you are doing dual GPU and CPU loop.

As stated above, yes, it is too bad that this is sold out. This is the cheapest one I could find..... http://www.tilatech.com/products/EK-...ter-Block.html
Next would be $90-$100....

Good luck.

The Rasa RX360 kit is a great place to start if you are on a budget. You can typically add one gpu card to the loop and see no change in temps but going sli might increase your load temps depending on how high you OC the proc and gpus. Typically for good cooling you want 1.5 rads for each OCed component and 1 rad for any non OCed component.

Seeing as you have the 800D you should have no problems getting a 360 up top and another 120/240 elsewhere in the case. Just make sure to grab barbs/sli connectors for the water blocks they normally don't come with them. Also make sure you get a silver kill coil or biocide and either different or more tubing its always better to have more on hand then run short in the middle of your build and have to wait longer for them to ship you more.

Yeah that pretty much sums it up there. Just ordered the RX360 kit myself and have a similar setup as you. You are lucky you have 2 cyclones since they are both reference pcb. All of the GPU waterblocks for the 460 will work for you. As Arksniper was saying get some different tubing. The one included in the RX360 kit is not the best in the world and having extra will give you more options on placement. Amazon has PrimoFlex tubing the cheapest I could find it. $16 for 10ft of the stuff. Link to it

Thank yall both for your replys. My friend and I were discussing the other day about possibly putting a 140 single at the bottom of the case or on the side of the case. Is jab tech the only company that sells the RX360 kit?

Its the only place that I could find that sells the kit. Only place with it in stock as well unless the shipment they got yesterday has sold out.
