Is Intel really that superior in gaming? - Page 2

If your tired of getting 30 fps in sc2, switch over to a 2500k and let it blow your mind. My frame rate doubled in sc2, and the gameplay is so much nicer.

That's the question. Like was said above - 200 FPS to 217 FPS has zero visible difference. 13 FPS to 30 FPS is a whole different story, though!
Well I never say any system run BFBC2 at 217FPS @ 1680x1050...haha!

But it was like 46 for the intel and 29 for the amd. Big difference, bring the game into playable framerates.

Hahaha, indeed, never seen that either!
29 FPS to 46 FPS is a massive difference indeed. I get a lot more than 46 FPS, though...
And that's with my 1090T at 4.0GHz and a single Radeon 5870!

Someone did a q9650 vs 2600k at 4.0ghz comparison here. The q9650 is pretty close in performance to phenom II quads, and he was getting about 50fps increase on average, but a lot more sometimes too. It's just the architecture..bulldozer should reel in the gap a little bit (maybe...hopefully )

You said you heard asus was gonna support bulldozer in your board through a bios update. Are there any other boards that will be supported? Like mine in particular?

Framerates in SC2 can vary quite a lot. You could have a huge gap in FPS between 2x2 early game and 4x4 end game.
