I love the shear power of PCs. And, well, my ps3 came with my tv but I still love it! Each have their advantages and disadvantages. But mindlessly bashing a worthy gaming platform is just useless. We're all in the same boat here, we're gamers.
And I know that all this is opinionated. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I won't try to force you to believe something. But what I'm trying to say is that bashing another platform won't get you anywhere. I respect that all you love playing games on your PCs, and maximizing the performance of your hardware and building you're own systems, so can you show some respect for people who might not have the cash to blow on a gaming pc? Or people who might PREFER playing on console? All this being said, there are a bunch of fanboy children that mindlessly play cod all day long on their consoles. They're just as bad, if not worse.
Anyway I think I made my point. And in regards to halo, although I used to think it should be on pc, I actually like it on xbox. There's something about the gameplay that simply wouldn't be as enjoyable on pc. Also, I know it's only a select few who are elitist snobs. Most of you guys rock and are what make this a great and friendly forum that you can count on for help and information with computers!
At one time, I myself had grown a little tired of the console bashing/debates that occur here very frequently. As I myself am a multiple console owner. Some of the remarks used to come off quite snobbish and well,....insulting to those who do have consoles. But over time, I've grown the ability to filter between ass clown comments and justified resentment. And yes, exclusive PC gamers do have legitimate reasons to have this resentment along with the right to voice an opinion.
Through my participation and observation here, I've come to realize there are two types of PC gamers (really, there are three but trolls don't matter.)
I think of these two groups as Sport cars and Stock cars (NASCAR.) Sport car drivers recognize and dislike the highway speed limitations, but can appreciate the opportunities that become available to release that horsepower. Sport car owners can share the road with economy cars...hell, even have one in the garage.
Then there are Stock cars, created for one thing alone and that's speed and performance. Ungoverned and raw power which knows no limitations other than what the driver has set. Equipped with the latest technology, balance, and customization to take advantage of any hidden power available and opportunity on the road. It shares the track with nothing other than cars of its breed.
.................enter the Pace car which overstays its welcome.Edited by dedmonwakin - 4/7/11 at 8:55am
