you just facepalmed yourself, lol...
Even a xbox360 has at least a triple core with SMT (hyperthreading)...
so what? DICE should make the PC version crappier? 4A (the guys who made Metro 2033 http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/di...ro-2033?page=2
), already mentioned due to architecture difference, utilization due to console's having only one target set of HW, and the 6 threads open on the xbox360, the xbox360 CPU can get within spitting range of a Nehalem quad core... (without HT). So you are complaining about how the PC verison is made worse by DICE? Well, you have a CPU that is argueably worse than what is on a console, and you expect it to run well!? The recommended CPU for BC2 is a quad core. Considering how the PS3 has 6 SPE for game use, and the xbox has 6 CPU threads for game use, I don't even see how you expect a CPU with just two threads to even compare... especially due to OS/scheduler overhead on a PC (similar overhead on consoles, however, consoles don't have to run background browser windows, email clients, widgets, FRAPs, etc). Yeah, the GPU may be worse, then again, it's only one set of HW, with already lower quality settings and textures to begin with.Edited by ablearcher - 4/4/11 at 12:00am
