I've only built computers using AMD processors (bang for buck since I'm cheap). But, with Sandy prices as they are now and Bulldozer comming soon, going to upgrade to either platform based on how BD compares do the 2500k at that price range. Either way, AMD is great and wouldn't mind sticking with them as long as they keep giving us great products at awesome prices.

My X4 955 ran for one month before I decided to sell it. I wish I could've kept it longer, it is a great CPU, overclocks brilliantly, kept at 3.8 stable with stock fan for a long time, eventhough I didn't need it that much. I would highly recommend AMD CPU's to anyone on a budget, as it will be worth your money and its a great cpu to fall back on if you can't afford Sandybridge or other i7 Intel cpu's. Overall, it was a pleasure to use the CPU, and i hope to have one again. As for myself, i just upgraded to Sandy Bridge 2600k Enjoy your AM3's!

I love AMD, $130 for a black edition processor that is more than powerful enough to play all the modern games, and preform great with multitasking and video editing. I use programs like After Effects and Premiere for video editing, usually while editing I will have Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, and Soundbooth (all cs5 so 64bit support) open at the same time and I will continuously switch from each with no problems, I have mine clocked at 4.0Ghz with a v8 and unless I'm stress testing I never really get above 50.

In fact I love it so much I'm selling my i72600k rigg, why? the i72600k is powerful beyond all means, but its not fun overclocking and is a complete waste of money considering I don't need all its power goodness. I'm an enthusiast overclocker and I believe the theory behind overclocking is to take a weak slow CPU and pushing it to the limits to match more higher expensive processors if not close enough to them =]
yep that's the concept, it's like building your rig from scratch as opposed to just buying the one already built but not knowing nothing about overclocking.
and taking an awesome cpu and overclocking it!! like crazy!!! i'm getting overclocking down to a science!!!!now~

I have to be happy with my cpu. I mean how can you not be happy with a platform that you could run 3 generation of cpus on it. Still using 790fx + sb600 chipset.

I was planning to get a 890fx board but now is not the time That's why I bought an old set of Kingston hyperx 1066 2x2gb and switched to 64 bit OS. I'm gonna endure this Bulldozer wind. Until my board gives up.
