As decibels are logarithmic, this is significant for amping!

I'll try and find the online calculator that allows you to input the impedance factor as well, seen it before a few times but can't find it atm.
Also an audiophile myth does not mean everything in sound is a myth.
*cringe* - I really should have checked my facts with that one. OP fixed.

Well i should clarify, i said to sit on his $$ so when he upgrades the headphones he'll go for a good amp too.

The cheapest option from his choice is AD700 + Zalman mic

I bought my AD700 last year for $80 shipped from someone, and the mic was $5 bucks.

And for me i was saying i was gonna get an amp for my K701, not my AD700s lol

I am really considering the beyerdynamics 770ts.. I have seen them recommended off and on enough to make me edge towards them.. I found them for like 209$ and I've heard they may just be suited to my taste.

In every industry, there are people trying to push premium products that give little-no benefit. In audio-visual, far too many people listen to the manufacturers

Like I said buy something, try it out. If you don't like it return it. Make note of what you liked and didn't like obviously so you can make better decisions in the future.

Yeah, I think the beyers are most highly recommended at this point.

Sadly its so hard to make a decision in the audio world..

In overclocking I can at least look up reviews/charts and get an idea of what I will be buying(as long as I subtract 20 fps lol)

Audio world is up in the air big time.

I am pretty close to jumping on beyers I think.. I've read they have godly positional accuracy even if they sometimes drop smaller details, yet they are still very immersive.. so Sounds pretty awesome to me.
