GTX 560 TI Poor Performance SLI ?

Thread Starter
This is a question for a friend of mine.He is running a Q6600 at 2.4 Ghz and has 2 GTX 560 in SLI and getting very poor frame rates in Black Ops.I mean down to 6 fps a lot and maxing at maybe 70 to 90 fps.

Can anyone help with this? Surely this is not just because of an older cpu is it?

What cpu does he have?

It could most definitely be a cpu issue.

Yeah he should definitely get that CPU to 3GHz, sounds like a bottleneck.

Oyi I see the cpu part of your post now, sorry about that

Does any of this look like it may help?

There are a lot of hits on google for duo core issues with black ops.

1. Never gauge system performance on BlackOps.

2. Asking a stock Q6600 to utilize 2 560's is asking a lot.

BLOPS is not a game to test SLI performance. It's messy enough as it is with a single GPU. I'll be posting a SLI review later this week if you want to gauge performance against my figures.

Vantage and 3dMark 11 are good measures of theoretical GPU processing power IMO, I'd give one of them a go.

Stock Q6600 and a game that bottlenecks like crazy.

Black ops= CPU hungry like a boss.
Q6600= not very good to begin with.

Omg. A Q6600 is not a good chip?!

It still performs very well, and my Q6700 at stock with a single 560 does very well in BlackOps.
