Rooting and flashing is practically harmless. I haven't broken a single one yet! At the very least I debrand a phone to get rid of all the carrier-centric BS on it. and get myself some internal storage back.

Rooting is done using Unrevoked (google it) and is pretty damn simple. Plug the phone in, run the program, wait, done. Then you hold the volume down button while turning it on and pick your ROM (which you previously downloaded and put on your SD card) and run it. Et viola, done!

So what you're saying is that because there is a slight possibility that your hearing is terrible (as other users do not report the same problem) that you are going to continue to cry on a tech-forum, who all know that faulty electronics are sometimes shipped?

flashing a rom is so easy and the steps are so clear. At this point in android development you'd have to be an idiot to brick your phone. I dont even own an android device and other people ask me to root their devices and all it takes is reading comprehension and common sense.

Sounds like you're just on a rant.

One-click rooting. Does wonders

Psh, I had to learn adb tricks just to get Android on my iPhone 1st-gen back in the days. I never missed a single step and got Froyo on that device. I'm more pro leet.

Really OP, you could have at least given Android a chance by rooting your DHD and make the appropriate fixes to volume and sound quality. It's really easy nowadays to do that, and whenever you need to take your phone for servicing you could just unroot the phone beforehand. No one would know, really.

Works really well in most areas but wow HTC really really failed in probably the most simplest area to get right.

Both speakers front and back and shockingly average for a decent phone.

The front speaker volume is shockingly low (Even on max volume , hardly can hear the other person talking unless in a queit room ) and the back speaker sounds tinny and horrible.

-1 FOR HTC !
if u don't want to root ur device get an iPhone4,jailbreak it (its DAMN EASY!!) it and be happy
