Parts for PC :) - Page 2

he doesn't need those kinds of pc's for COD. a decent Q9 series chip would serve him well and leave enough money for a good monitor.

Plus i would never EVER bu a pre-built system ever again after finding out how much i can save. I am 15 and seriously couldn't afford to buy a $2000 Intel Core 2 Duo Per-built system.

The gigabyte board I listed should support AM3+ chips when they hit the market, so he could always upgrade the chip later down the road. The build I put together should play anything he wants and puts him at his budget now. It's always much easier to upgrade smaller parts down the road, but you need to start with a good foundation.

Hey there-just my 2 cents worth for ya, since your in no great rush on getting a system, try watching newegg.com they have by far some of the best prices on the internet, great service and fast shipping. Also, you can look around and read alot of input from others on each and every part they sell,to get an idea if its something you want. I have been buying from them for years and have built manny systems, i have not found a better place to buy from yet. And they have sales all the time that rock!!

P.S. The phenom II X 4 have taken another price drop there just in the last week,i will bet they will be selling the 1090t x6 for less than 199 very soon.
