No, the most they got out of it with voltage regulation and ripple suppression staying in spec was 371W. Only with a PSU load tester can you really dictate what to pull from the unit... If you draw impossible power from the minor rails of course it's different but it's not going to happen with a normal computer.

No. Reason being that the GTX260 requires 2 6Pin PCIe power connectors and the PSU has one. You could use a adaptor but I think those are really risky.

A simple calculation would be that the GTX takes around 180 watts at full draw, if the PSU is ~80% efficient then it would have average output of ~360. 360-180 = 180watts remaining for your CPU, MoBo, HDD, SSD, and what ever else is there. The 4 Pin CPU connector is rated for 150 watts... Its cutting close. Too close for my personal comfort to power a rig.

even so, like i said, most ill be pulling with this setup(no overclock on it) should be under 350w. if it pulled 371w, that means it should work fine. gonna plug everything in tonight and let ya know if she xplodes tomorow. thanks for all the answers people.

Anyway, what I was trying to say was this: will it work? Probably. Should you use that PSU? Probably not and I suggest you replace it soon.

its gonna run the rig on average, 3.5 hours a week. the build is going to my son and he is allowed 30 mins after school and homework and 1 hour on the weekend. It will end up getting replaced with a 500w antec prob in about 2 months and hardest game he will be playing is tf2. im hoping it will work but i am by no means a psu expert.

Even 371 (usable) watts is going to be plenty.

Tom's hardware shows power draw for a complete i5-750 system at 199 watts while running linx burn test.

A core2quad setup with the GTX 260 shows 270 watts total under gaming load. I'm not sure the difference between a C2Q and the i7-950, (and between a burn stress test and a game) but I would be shocked if the OP ever used more than 370 watts with that setup.

@ OP: Unless you plan to run CPU AND GPU stress tests simultaneously, it'll power that rig no problem.
