I have to agree with grunion... ATI is better equipped to handle multi-monitor setups.

False statement... lots of 570 owners are having good luck overclocking. Dual 570s are a more economical solution, but I agree with the statement of the lower memory limiting performance with 3D Surround.

Dual 580s would work but will run you $1000. A single 590 will still perform well. I guess you need to get over the paranoia of the VRMs blowing out. I have had my 570s for a few months now and havent had a problem even with overclocking since day one.

Well, GTX 590=GTX 570 SLI, so a tri-SLI setup of those is gonna kill it. However, if you're thinking of doing gaming at 2560x1600 or higher, you're much better served by going the AMD route. AMD is doing better than NVIDIA now when it comes to high resolutions and AA. I wouldn't recommend you do anything higher than CF/SLI with more than two cards because, frankly, it's a waste of money. You'll be better served by going unlocked Radeon HD 6950 2GB CrossFire.

Oh sorry I just assumed since the base clock was like 732 and most people aren't going much over 800-850 core (not because they can't, but because they're afraid) it's not really a good clocker. Add to that the mosfet issue with the 570 and I'd personally liken it to overclocking a 1090T on a 4+1 phase power board.
