Or better yet, save judgement until you try it, and keep an open mind. With a bit of real life usage I have found that any interface can be gotten used to.

it would not surprise me if Microsoft is going this way to make the ui more touch screen friendly. Seeing as tablets are taking off, I bet OEM manufacturers and Microsoft are working together against Apple

Seriously you ppl are always herp derping about advancement in tech yet you still wanna stick to navigation methods from the windows 3 era ???

l2adapt noobs.
You joking?

Come back once you've looked at how much unnecessary space it's taking up.

I'd take a little getting used to, but since I've use Office '07, it shouldn't be that hard.

Count me as a fan of the ribbon, but I'd like an option to move it to one side or the other and take advantage of all that wasted widescreen real estate.

We're really seeing a mixed bag of reactions for this, personally I don't like it.

I don't mind it. I prefer the old style, but most of us will simply because we are used to it. Once we are acclimated to the new style we'll be saying the same thing about the old way.

The problem with ribbons in office is that there is no customization. I constantly find my self switching back and forth between tabs for one option. Before I could just put what ever I wanted where ever, I had the stuff that I used and it was one click. Office 2007+ maybe easier to learn and easier to do basic stuff but if you know what you are doing it just wastes time. This is coming from some one who has used office 2007 for nearly 3 years now...

As for the new explorer ribbon... not really a fan.
