How's the newest releases doing for us all lately?

About to purchase some games and I'm interested in how the games are fairing at the moment.

Crysis 2: worth a pick up? I know it's in DX9 but I don't mind if the story of it is well driver.

NFS:Shift unlimited 2: Good? Heard a couple of problems here and there but I haven't read much into it.

I'd appreciate hearing any input you guys may have.

I really enjoyed playing through the crysis 2 campaign, thought the graphics were great apart from a few textures but otherwise still fantastic The story was great as well.

Been playing NFS 2 unleashed the last few days, it's a good game the driving is great and the cars and upgrades are all really nice, reminds me a bit of GTR. The one problem I'm having with the game is that anything less than a perfect lap and you're either first or last, brush the barriers and the whole screen greys out and you practically stop, the car gets ridiculously hard to control and it's just not fun and more frustrating, especially when CPU's touch you and you just completely loose control, or rear ending someone around a corner by accident you'll find that your car will just completely spin out.

It's definitely not a very forgiving driving game, could be because I'm using a keyboard but I'll try and get hold of a USB 360 controller to play with.

Hm, that's a shame. Kind of enjoy a racing game where I can get a bit crazy on track.
