Corsair H60 Install Question.

Hello,

I just got an H60 and though the install is straightforward I have a question about the mounting stand-offs and backplate. I'm putting it on an 1155 mobo.
First you position the backplate, easy enough, then screw in the stand-offs that the pump attatches to.
You would think that the stand-off's screw down tightly through the mobo into the backplate, but they don't. The backplate fasteners poke through the mobo a little further than level so that when you screw a stand-off down it doesn't contact the mobo leaving the whole backplate loose.
I checked and there isn't any additional washers to install. Just wanted to see if anybody else has installed an H60 and noticed this.

U got a picture? Cos from what i can gather from what your saying. The entire thing 'should' become secure once u put the screws on the other side (front) of the mobo...once you attach the heat sink... have you got that far yet?

My personal setup... i put the screws through the back plate and i had separate screws to hold the backplate on...

double check your contents list for ur package lol im gonna look it up

From what i can gather.....the screws from the back that go through your mobo.... they must have SOMETHING that attaches on the other side... they have to , whether its an extender, or a bolt... its has to have something... from my expeirence, that bolt from the back.... hold the heat sink down on the front as well... so double check what u got in the box. Double check that your using the correct screw for the back plate... Post some images if your still having issues

Yes exactly. I can't take a pic at the moment but yes when you attatch the pump it's drawn up tight. I just thought it's kinda hinky that the backplate and stand-offs don't draw up tight first as I would expect them to. I just did a test fit so far and havn't put the mobo in the case. I may add nylon washers to the bacplate so that it does draw up tight.
I double checked the instructions and there's no mention of any additional washers or parts for an Intel installation and any reviews of the H60 with installation pics don't show any additional parts.

Yes I saw that and as you can see there's no washers on the backplate or mobo side.

OT: Are they using a thinner radiator on the H60? From those review pictures the radiator looks thinner than the H50.
