Rana X3 On this board surprised me

Ok, so my friend blew his board with his Rana X3 in it at 3.0 Ghz stock.

So as I sat there with my M4A785-M, I wanted to see if that 3rd core would unlock.

One hour later, I got his processor to 3.82 Ghz with the fourth core active and stable at 1.55 volts.

Under load, CPU temp sat at 60 degrees Celsius.

Needless to say, I was happy.

What are your thoughts?

BTW: In my quest to reach 4Ghz, I didn't think to verify

Great.
Really great.
What cooler is it?
But...
Board is gonna blow if you keep it that way.

1.55v on air, a 4+1 power phase board with no VRM/Mosfet cooling could be trouble eventho it's a 95W CPU. I'd advise you to read Xd1771's guide before proceeding

Yes, I know that this was suicidal had I kept going. That's why I didn't use my own chip

Or stock coolers.

Just saying how impressed I was with this board to be able to do that

That cooler. When it comes to CPU temp, this thing did amazingly

Actually yeah, at this point I'd say it's being taken too far. A 95W unlocked is a 125W, you're pushing it to 1.55V on an unheatsinked 4+1. The board's probably not going to blow up due to over current protections and all that would kick in, but running this much OC on this unheatsinked 4+1 would be completely impractical since half the time you stability test it's probably gonna shut down midway or the CPU speed will throttle down for awhile until VRM temps drop. And the VRM temps are probably very high, due to the tower cooler and non low RDS design.
