PC overheats after BIOS upgrade

Thread Starter
Hello everyone, lengthy post ahead.
I had some issues with my PC for a while now. I reinstalled W7 per advice on the Cyberpower tech prior to installing my new ram. He then told me to flash my bios which I did via the latest asustek upgrade.
Now my PC runs hot within no time and shuts down on me as soonest I use some graphic intense applications.
I cleaned my box and leave the panel open for the time being but I can smell the "heat".
I am not sure if I did something wrong or if I have to tweak something else for the heat to go away. All fans are working, everything looks ok, but the heating issues prevents me from using my machine as I need it to be.

I am not experienced with these overclocking things and if someone could explain this to me like in simple talk I would truly appreciate it.

Here are some pics of my current system. Thank you in advance for any help.

ohmy I have the top plastic part off but the bottom is this sealed? And if so do I have to "rip/wiggle" it off and if yes do I need a certain glue to put it back?
Because I have a E-6000 glue I use for jewelery making, lol

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. So you have the clip that holds the on heatsink unlocked?
The thermal paste will sort of adhere the heatsink to the processor, gently twist the heatsink to loosen it. I recommend a aftermarket cooler for better cooling, but getting a better thermal paste is the cheapest way to go & can lower temps at least 5 degrees Celsius, Arctic Silver 5 is cheap and easy to find at most stores.
