And I think it looks pretty hawt. My buddy got a colossus last month and he raves about the thing. I'm more looking at mid-towers and it's between this or shinobi.
The CM II 690 on minimum fan speed settings beats the Bitfenix survivor. The CM II 690 is also 20 dollars cheaper.

The 200mm fans in the Survivor are also 200x20mm, meaning that you might be forced to replace them with the much harder to find (and more expensive, when compared to the more common less expensive 200x30mm fans) 200x20mm fans.

Does the case come with the rear fan? If it doesn't then that is something that you might have to buy which then adds to the total cost of the case. Also, in the review I linked, they compared it to other cases that were also only loaded with the stock fans (meaning that with something like the CM 690 II advanced, they didn't load it up with as many fans as they could have).

For me, it's aesthetics first, cooling second. I'm a shallow person.

I don't think you can really compare these two cases. First off, the survivor's got USB 3.0, while the CM 690II doesn't. That right there can explain the price difference between the two. But not only that, you can also fit super long graphics cards in survivor thanks to that modular hard drive bay. These two things along with that soft touch coating makes it totally worth the extra 20 dollars imho. That coating on my friend's colossus is oh so smooth.

Most of us have extra 120mm fans lying around anyway, so I'd imagine that adding one to survivor is not going to be much more money for a lot of people.
