OCZ Vertex LE 100GB $65 - Page 2

Yeah thats great but at the same price you are posting for out of stock items but my argument is regarding how many they produce and the likely hood of the items to be available. I do not resort to name calling and im just stating my opinion anyways if i offended you i apologize. There was no need to escalate things but please do some research on the Vertex 2 Le. Here is a link to get you started regarding only making 5000 units.

Don't presume I didn't do any research. Great, they made 5000 units. Are you telling me that just because they are now out of stock then that means OCZ already shipped out all of the 5000 drives? Do you know this for a fact? Why are some websites showing they are in stock?

Why even post when you have absolutely no clue if the drives will actually be re-stocked? Your argument is just sad. Like I said, if they are truly out of stock then I will not be losing any money. If they get some stock it, then that is awesome and I got the drive at a really good price.

Anandtech is pretty good source and you should look at the date, the article is over a year old and im pretty sure OCZ are producing vertex 3 or any 4th gen SSD now.

A qoute from the article: "Despite its name, the Vertex Limited Edition is an MLC SandForce SF-1500 SSD (technically it's a SF-1200/SF-1500 hybrid like the Vertex 2 Pro, but that's a separate issue entirely). It's basically the Vertex 2 Pro with one big caveat - there are only a limited number of these drives being made - 5,000 to be exact. Once they're all gone, that's it."

How do you know they don't have an ultra secret warehouse?

at this rate, when will I get my hands on one of those 256GB C300 for $50? Gotta love technology.

Maybe some rma units , but the rate of the price drops of the 3rd gen drives its likely that they are making room for the 4th gen...this is all speculation... But it will definatly benefit the consumers like us.
