ONE went out. so they had to replace it i had them registered as crossfired before the incident they knew i had crossfire therefore had to honor both cards even though one was perfectly fine... so I have 2 5830s.. there no possible way graphics card company will send out a 6990 or any 6000 series for a 4xxx series thats just bad business... if anything theyd send you to of some 5xxx series (5830) is apparently the only card xfx has replaced as an "upgrade" to 4890 or 4870 and i had to ARGUE mny way to that belive me.
xfx bad practices do not change law. sorry you got 5830's, but that dosnt change what they are required to do by law. again, so you understand, THEY CANNOT SEND YOU AN INFERIOR CARD BY LAW. now, for you, that was an upgrade, for me it would be a huge downgrade. a 5850+ or 6850+ is the ONLY card that would be an upgrade. For the 4870x2 story, i beleive it as the only cards above those(that xfx makes) is the 5970 untill recently and now its the 6950 and 6970.
