Got my RMA from Asus yesterday for my 6970 (Open Box from newegg that was articrafting) and it arrived damaged (physical damage)...Someone at ASUS packaged it right next to the end of the box and it just had a single layer of bubble wrap.....Called Asus- they requested pictures- sent them the pictures and was promised an Advanced Replacement. Got an e-mail saying that they don't have any 6970's in stock and that I will have to send in the card for a regular RMA
I can't believe that they don't have any 6970's in stock- once they get it they will try to repair it and if they can't and the 6970 is still not in stock they will make me an offer on a different card. At least they sent me a prepaid 2nd day FedEx label- but I am still very mad. Hopefully you have better luck!
