Whats your guys vote.
It would be updating my sig rig so i would have all the parts except the 970, so that would be an easy route. If i go that way i would just like to sell my 920, If i go the sandy bridge route i would have to sell 920 mobo and ram.

*UPDATE*

Just cuase it has came up in the first few posts i am adding this.
I game
I fold
I do heavy heavy virtualization. 12gb at work is not enough ram for me.

Why upgrade now? Your rig can well enough handle current day applications with ease. Why not upgrade when Ivy Bridge comes out at the end of this year or the start of the next.

970

Depends on how much your gona OC. Stock 970 would lose to 5.0 2600k But at the same clock, the 970 would win...6 core.

The extra 4 threads would greatly help you, not to mention the higher stock clock speed. If all 12 threads are used, the 970 would be faster, since you use all 12, I think it'd be the cheaper route.
