just installed Linux on my sig rig.. the 10.10 netbook edition.. and iv'e used it for around 1 day... how the hell do i install flash player and Java??

since when are linux and ubuntu synonyms? im gonna have to start smacking people...

i just know it was referring to ubuntu cause of the version number

To many people out there it is synonymous. Ubuntu has done a great job of getting their name out there and increasing the Linux install base.

You can install Flash by using the Software Center just go to Applications->Software Center and then search Adobe Flash, I'm sure you can do it from there.

i am utilizing the netbook edition.. so it may be different.. i really do love open source and linux in general.. but i know nothing of it.. and i want to get involved with enthusiast linux lobyist's

So just jump in! If you're looking to get more involved with your system, I'd suggest you try Arch Linux. It's a minimalist distro with excellent documentation. When you install the distro, you only get the base system. No GUI or anything, just a CLI.

Then you build up from there. It helps to cut out all the nonsense programs you'll never use.
