weird weird earbud problem....

Thread Starter
hi

recently i notice the right side of my turbine-pro copper consistently go mute, or close to mute, if i turn up the volume, i can hear this faint and distorted sound and if i turn it up higher, it'll suddenly become normal again, absolutely no difference than before. but problem comes back randomly after a while. i got these headphones like 4 months ago... anyone has any idea?

ps. i find loud, lower frequencies fix this problem temporarily better... i got this as a gift and the gifter didn't give me the receipt... so RMA seems no hope. i like these earbuds a lot and it'd be a shame if they break... they should be very tough like the reviews from the web so not sure what's going on...

any help is appreciated

Probably a busted driver, or bad cable. Did this happen randomly?

Some just randomly die from usage.

awww okay, i'll just see how long these last then... from what i've read these aren't the type of earbuds that just die from usage... there's no RMA if there's no receipt right...

Yeah, I doubt it. I might be interested in buying them off you.

oh, lol, no thanks. called monster, they said they will replace it once and that's it if there's no receipt. apparently there's a covered-no-matter-what warranty on top of the limited lifetime warranty and the first warranty needs no receipt, just the product. i'll just use the headphone until they are done and rma i think... thx for the help ++rep
