Ok. Here is where to put your Tri cool in my opinion.

see the clear plastic fan hanging off of the HDD cage? put him there, to help cool down the GPU...the entire front of this case is mesh, and screened in so that fan will still help pull air into the case.

so basically (sorry it's in dutch, it's my local store's website):
http://www.codima.be/product/1212/co...2-KKN2-GP.aspx
http://www.codima.be/product/2100/co...0-212P-GP.aspx

or

http://www.tones.be/shop_product.php?idx=107859 (it's a store a bit further down the road) but still not sure if this scythe mugen II rev b will fit my case...

and

http://www.codima.be/product/1722/za...2-ZM-STG2.aspx

or

http://www.tones.be/shop_product.php?idx=107127 ? which thermal paste is best?

as for the two extra fans:
i can pick from this list:
http://www.codima.be/categorie/COO/C...s_casefan.aspx

or

http://www.tones.be/shop_producten.php?cat=11030

as you can see neither of the shops have cooler masters R4's...

dubble damn, forgot to mention, a good idea when doing a higher flowing case is to add a screen or filter to the fans, the good thing about the
CM690IIAD is that ALL but 3 intake spots have a filter of some kind. the 3 side fan's have no filter so they will suck up dust real bad. filters are cheap. also this
is what happends when you want to add a side fan to both the top and bottom fan slots,I have a filter and finger gaurd in the mail. here is the High flow 80mm fan on the other side, you can also see the 2 top mounted fans. your case will come with one of the fans on top.

let me know if you want more pics or anything. hope this helps
also..keep in mind if your not going to OC you dont have to go to crazy with it..but its fun as hell lol

But there already is a front intake fan installed isnt there? So isn't this adding a second one doing the same thing as the front one? Or is the front one only for cooling the HDD drives?

And adding two optional side air intake fans plus the one on your photo isn't going to be some sort off "overkill" for my gpu? There will be three (or two?) fans blowing at the GPU then.

The setup would give four intake fans then and only two outtake fans (top and back), doesn't there have to be a stability between the outtake and intake fans?

It would be cheaper to get the case and the CM hyper 212, and it works wounders! as far as fans go for the side pannel, you can use ANY kind of fan you wan't. there are holes drilled for 80/92/120/140 on the side pannel with two fan's, and the side pannel with one fan is pre drilled for a 80*15mm fan..can use a 80*25 fan for better flow if you mount it on the out side. ALSO! befor you order to many fans. see how the top fan on my side pannel is on the outside of the case?? thats cus it wont fit on the inside, I dont know if its worth it to have both top and bottem fans in..I know it is worth it to have the bottem on in, if that makes sence.

wow, why do you have to hang one fan of the two at the outside of the case?

What does the one fan on the other side panel (the single one) that's also hanging on the outside doing there? Is it an outtake or intake fan?

and which of the two thermal pastes do you advice?

The Tricool fans are alright if you want LED's.
The Scythe Sflex SSF12/13 are good fans, at the cost of higher noise levels.

The Gentle Typhoon (ap-12s) are a good choice too...relatively silent.

More intakes = positive air pressure. Air will still find a way to get out.
Negative pressure (more exhausts, less intakes) can be troublesome (more dust buildup) unless you have every single crack/crevice in your case sealed up.

With an aftermarket CPU cooler there is not enough room to put a fan on the inside of the case. I'm going to stupid high air flow So I put it on the out side.
The other little fan on the out side blows INSIDE the case, at the back of the CPU cooler. CM made a spot to put the fan on the inside pannel BUT they want you to use a 80*15mm fan, they are thin and suck at airflow(wisper quiet)
I wanted to use a standerd size 80*25mm fan for higher flow rates..its to wide to fit so on the out side it goes...also the REAR exaust fan is going to be mounted on the outside of the case aswell...to rute the wires inside the case im using the water cooler inlets, Once i have the right fans and stuff ill tidy up the wires so it dosnt look so bad and taste-less lol
