NZXT Sleeved LED lighting job in a HAF 932

I took it upon myself to do a bit of a lighting job in my HAF 932 last friday. Originally, I wanted to use either the blue 2m kit or the white 2m kit. But when I installed one, I had the urge to see what it would like to have both kits in. When I tried it with both the kits, I just couldn't get myself to return one of the colors, so I kept both. $40 well spent IMHO.

I also wanted the lighting to highlight the hardware in particular, but not so much light up the whole case.

Obviously, as you can see, my cable management isn't up to par yet, so I would appreciate some tips, but here is what I managed to achieve with the 2 different lighting sets. I kept the white set full brightness while the blue is at medium brightness.

Full link to the flickr photo set: http://flic.kr/s/aHsju8FNPi

Because I know most people don't like to click through to many links, I'll put the best ones here as well:

You can see how I arranged the lights on my Thermalright Archon cooler:

Just the white LED's on at full brightness:

Just the blue LED's at full brightness:

Finally with both the blue and the white:

Any comments are appreciated.

Looks awesome. smile.gif
Since you have the modding bug smile.gif why dont you go ahead and try something more. I have painted my HAF932 black, it looks even better that way. You could try that and after that you could also make a side window.

Looks pretty nice! If my computer had a window of any sort I'd totally do something like that. LED lighting looks SO nice compared to old cathode lighting, imo.

Cables are messy but the result (other than cables) looks nice.

I really want a side window, but the problem is that I'll most likely lose that side fan. Thats the main one that keeps the inside temperatures cool, especially my GPUs. If I could figure out a way to retain the side fan, and still get in a bigger window, I'm all ears. As for painting the inside, I'm waiting for the summer to do that. Two reasons - I'm in school right now, and I'm in Canada, so its not the ideal temperature to do any sort of painting yet.

Thanks. I'm just bad at cable management, so if you could point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Get all your cabling onto the other side of the case, even if it seems pointless do it, it makes it look better. Tuck all cables behind other things so you can't see them. If there is too much cable make sure all the slack is on the back side of the case, then cable tie the extra down. Hope this helps.

Thanks. and which side do you mean by "other side"? Is it towards the front of the case (the CD bays)? I'll be sure to put this to use when I open it up next time probably in a month of so.

There are two side panels, left and right (looking straight on at the case), the other side I mean behind the motherboard (right panel), like this

Oh, ok... thanks... I already have most of the cables router from the back. the ones that are visible are the ones that I feel have too much tension on them, or just aren't long enough to connect to my hardware. The one cable that I'm having a really hard time with is the main ATX power cable. That cable is stiff as hell, and it just refuses to go behind the mobo tray.

Also, what do I do about the extra connectors from the PSU? It is modular, but I'm having a hard time pushing them behind to keep hidden. The jumbled mess at the bottom is all from the PSU.
