Yes, AMD's drivers have improved as well, but the SLI scaling on the 500 series has been improving more than the drivers have done for single card setups.
That may be. 6950/6970 still better cards price/performance wise.

Anyway, enjoy your Nvidia card. Whatever makes you happy.

Wasn't ever a red/green debate for me, I use both Photoshop and 3ds Max regularly, I had need of CUDA.

I just don't like seeing exaggerations about 570s failing being spread about. They're amazing cards, so long as you understand that OCP is there for a reason. Price/peformance isn't clear cut with the exception of the 5770/460, those are amazing price/performance cards. Rest of the cards fluctuate between applications too much to say one is better price/performance than the other.

I do agree that they are there for a reason, but Nvidia could've done better than smashing in those cheap ass Vrms, but yeah. The 570 is an excellent card, it's just a shame it doesn't have more VRAM, would've performed so much better at higher resolutions. Still a good choice at 1920x1200. If I'm ever to switch to Nvidia again I want more memory and better Vrms, then it's all good. I loved my GTX 260 back in the days, good card.

Wow. Way to hijack the thread guys. I am surprised that a Mod did not close it down.

@OP. Look man. If you are familiar with ATI then go for it. I think that you will be very satisfied with the 6850. It will be like a whole new rig for you.

Yeah, sorry for hijacking your thread. Let us know if there's anything.

With a 3 monitor setup, the 6950 really is the best choice (fanboism aside). 2GB memory does wonders.

I didn't intend to hijack the thread, I was just explaining that the hate against the 570 due to a couple failures is completely unjustified. Considering it was one of the two main options the OP considered it originally, it wasn't a full hijack anways. People have since convinced him against it by exaggerating the severity of the problem- exactly what I was trying to prevent.

I'm confused how people got to the 3-monitor part of their suggestions, he has two monitors, something a 570 does quite well. OP, the 570 is a perfectly valid option. Last thing, http://www.overclock.net/graphics-ca...time-last.html was updated yesterday. 570 > 6970 > 6950 > 560ti, so take your pick OP. Just remember, every time you see X overclocked beats Y stock, remember that Y can be overclocked too, regardless if it's a 570 or not.

He said he might go for Surround/Eyefinity, the 570 will bottleneck that setup for sure. That thread you linked is the most useless ever, not reliable at all.

Single monitor: 570/6970/6950 flash (doesn't matter), anything else: 6970/6950.

The 570 is as fast and somtimes faster then a 6970 at 1600P /or 2560 X 1600 over 14 games.
At 1080P/1200P its almost always faster, but not enough to write home about.

However, I wouldn't recommend a 570 for 5760 X 1080, or large surround resolutions.
It only plays 2/3 of games well at this resolution.

He is just another hater that likes to argue for his Radeons no matter what because he is biased towards the brand...an obvious fanboy.

Most good readers/users don't pay much attention, if any at all to users like him. There are a bunch of them on this site, ignore them and skip over like the rest of us.
